Employment-Based Immigration Visas
Labor Certification and Permanent Employment Visas (EB-2, 3)
- This is an immigrant visa category which shall allow certain employers
petition on behalf of their employees, most commonly those in medicine,
science, or other specialized fields that require a higher degree. The
individuals, if approved, shall be provided Legal Permanent Residence
in the United States.
Individuals of Extraordinary Ability Visas (O1-, EB-1)
- This visa category is for both nonimmigrant and immigrant visas for individuals
of extraordinary ability in the arts, sciences or business, are an outstanding
professor or researcher, or are a multinational executive or manager.
Each occupational category has certain requirements that must be met.
Immigrant Investor Visa (EB-5)
- Investors who plan to invest a minimum of $500,000 or $1,000,000 in a U.S.
business that employs at least 10 workers may qualify for an investor
visa. The investor must be actively involved in the visa and engage in
a business that benefits the U.S. economy.
Special Immigrants (EB-4)
- This category of visa is reserved for special immigrants, such as broadcasters,
religious workers, physicians, and other workers who may not fit into
the other visa categories.
